Tata Steel Chess: Nodirbek takes 2nd and Javokhir 3rd place

The Netherlands hosted Tata Steel Chess Tournament.

Uzbekistan’s Nodirbek Abdusattorov, who until the 12th round led the Masters group and did not lose a single match, in the last 13th round fought with Jorden van Foreest from the Netherlands. He defeated Abdusattorov.

Thanks to a promising debut at such a prestigious tournament in the world of chess and second place among the 14 strongest grandmasters in the world, Nodirbek managed to rise from 33rd to 17th place in the ranking of the International Chess Federation.

Javokhir Sindorov played against the Norwegian Thomas Beerdsen in the last round of the Challenger group. The meeting, which was held with a significant advantage of our compatriot, ended in favor of the Uzbek chess player, who brought the number of points to 8.5.

Alexander Donchenko won with 10 points in this group, Mustafa Yılmaz from Türkiye took second place with 9 points, and Javokhir Sindorov took third place.
