The Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis was another crucial historical event. In the Address, the Head of our state defined the country’s development strategy for 2023, focusing on the most important tasks related to the political, socio-economic and spiritual life of our country, which is of particular interest to the public.
All the issues raised in the Address are important because they are aimed at realizing the rights, human freedom and legitimate interests.
The announcement by the President of 2023 as the Year of Human Care and Quality Education once again indicates that all the reforms carried out in our country are based on the principle “In the name of human honor and dignity”, and that the attention paid to youth has risen to the level of public policy.
The development of science and enlightenment, our entire country based on new technologies, cannot be imagined without educated youth with high intellectual potential and a broad worldview.
In his Address, the President noted that from 2023, a radical reform of school education will begin based on international educational programs. Attention will be increased to our native language, which is a symbol of national identity and the basis of the spirituality of the people. Of course, knowledge of a foreign language is imperative of times. But everyone is required to know their native language.
In 2023, 70 new schools will be built in Uzbekistan, 460 schools will be expanded. Two-shift training will be canceled.
Today, 1772 foreign language teachers work in Navoi region. Thanks to the attention of the Head of our state to education, 1329 teachers of foreign languages received national and international certificates. The number of teachers in the highest and first categories is also increasing from year to year.
It is gratifying that today 1,270 out of 10,746 school graduates have national and international certificates. This means that they have taken the first step to becoming students, that is, they scored 93 points ahead of schedule for admission to higher education institutions.
This year, within the framework of the program for the development of social and industrial infrastructure of Navoi region, major and current repairs were carried out in 7 schools. Almost 10 billion 569 million UZS were allocated for these purposes.
We, the workers of the education system, as noted in the Message, will continue to work together to educate young people as harmoniously developed, independent and rationally thinking individuals who have mastered modern knowledge and professions.

Head of Navoi Regional Department of Public Education
