Tashkent welcomes the best judokas of the world

Foreign national teams and guests are arriving in Uzbekistan to participate in the 35th World Judo Championships, which starts in three days.

Head of the Japanese Olympic Committee and President of the Japan Judo Federation Yasuhiro Yamashita, the Japanese national team, sports delegations from China, Saudi Arabia and Canada arrived in Tashkent as a guest of honor.

Uzbekistan national team members are holding a training session in Samarkand before the championships. At a meeting with Deputy Minister of Sports Development Shakhrillo Makhmudov, it was noted that there is an excellent opportunity to score rating points for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Almost 600 judokas from 88 countries will take part in the championships.
