A group of foreign athletes who arrived to take part in the 15th International Kurash Tournament dedicated to the memory of Al-Hakim at-Termezi has been solemnly met at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

The tournament for the President Prize will be held on April 10-11 in Termez. 105 athletes from 30 countries are expected to participate in the tournament. Men will compete in weight categories up to 60, 66, 73, 81 and 90 kilograms, and women up to 48, 57, 63, 70 kilograms and over 70 kilograms. Competitions in the absolute weight category will be held among men.

The total prize fund of the international tournament is $100 thousand. The winners in each weight category will be awarded $3,000 for the first place, $2,000 for the second, and $1,000 for the third.

The winner in the absolute weight category will receive the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan – $10,000, the second-place winner – $5,000, and two third-place athletes will receive $3,500.
