The Uzbekistan national team is successfully participating in the WAKO World Kickboxing Championships in Portugal.

At a meeting organized as part of the championships, President of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) Roy Baker announced that in 2024, Tashkent will host the Kickboxing World Cup.

In the qualifying competitions, Uzbekistan’s athletes Mahmud Khayotov, Zarifjon Istamov, Fakhriddin Eminov, Khusniddin Shakhobiddinov, Mavlonbek Muhammadjonov, Khurshida Jalilova, and Rukhshona Shukhratova won in their weight categories and advanced to the next stage.
