Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry hosted a meeting between Uzbekipaksanoat Association representatives and the leadership of Cooperative of Japan Silk & Silk Thread Development.

The parties discussed issues of deep processing of cocoons, increasing the volume of exports to Japan, holding Uzbekistan – Japanese business forum in Tashkent. It was noted that Uzbekistan is a country with rich experience and high potential in sericulture. The guests were informed about large-scale reforms implemented in the industry and its prospects.

The parties agreed to organize visits to Uzbekistan of representatives of Japanese companies engaged in sericulture.
