Tashkent to host Law Spring Forum

Few days left before the Tashkent Law Spring forum, organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with a number of partners. The sponsors are the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Development Programme, as well as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Regional Dialogue international organization (Slovenia), Gazprombank and others.More than 50 international experts have already been registered. Current aspects of state planning and administrative reform, regulatory quality, reducing the level of state intervention in the economy, combating corruption, transforming public service, ensuring openness and transparency of government activities will be discussed at the forum.
According to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it is envisaged to consider the practical aspects of preparing an international arbitration case, measures on increasing the use of mediation, as well as the peculiarities of the Pro bono institute and state-funded legal aid.
2019 has been declared in Uzbekistan as the Year of Active Investments and Social Development, therefore the focus of the Tashkent Law Spring participants will be on the issues of formation of an active investment policy, for example, improving the civil legislation of Uzbekistan, best practices in public-private partnership and its applicability in the country, structuring Uzbek business to stimulate international investment and create joint ventures.
