On June 13, the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) will host an international scientific and practical conference “The influence of the legacy of Alisher Navoi and Abdurahman Jami on strengthening friendship among Central Asian peoples”.
The event, dedicated to the role of the literary heritage of these two great poets in fostering friendship and intercultural dialogue among the peoples of the region, will be attended by representatives of organizations such as the International Public Foundation named after Alisher Navoi, the Writers’ Unions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, leading universities and research centers of Central Asian countries, diplomatic missions, as well as prominent literary scholars, cultural figures, and representatives of academic and educational institutions from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.
The conference program includes an opening ceremony, plenary and thematic sessions, a cultural program, the signing of cooperation memoranda, and the exchange of scholarly views on the influence of literary heritage on the development of humanitarian ties and interethnic harmony in the region.
The conference will serve as a significant event among the initiatives aimed at strengthening good-neighborly relations and promoting the rich spiritual legacy of the great thinkers of Central Asia.
