Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the revival and holding of Tashkent International Film Festival has been adopted.

According to the document, the Tashkent International Film Festival of Asia, Africa and Latin America, which was held in Uzbekistan in 1968-1997, will be revived as Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road”.

The festival will be held annually, starting in 2021, in September – October in the city of Tashkent.

From September 28 to October 3, 2021, the 13th Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road” will be held under the motto “Peace, Progress and Enlightenment”.

The winners of the festival of short films of young filmmakers from the Asian continent and along the ancient Silk Road will be awarded diplomas and the following cash prizes:

1st place – $15,000;

2nd place – $10,000;

3rd place – $7,000.

Representatives of the UN, CIS, SCO, UNESCO, ICESCO, FIAPF and other international organizations, as well as diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign countries in Uzbekistan, will be invited to the festival.
