On 27-29 May, Tashkent will host the 17th International Exhibition on Production Technologies. Woodworking. Furniture and Components – MebelExpo Uzbekistan 2021.
Iteca Exhibitions has organized an event dedicated to the organizational issues of this exhibition.
The exhibition will provide an opportunity to demonstrate to the professional audience new achievements, collections and the best examples of the furniture industry and production technologies.
Modern furniture created by local manufacturers will decorate every home, bring comfort and coziness to it. The growing demand for these products prompts industry professionals to new research and discoveries. At the same time, MebelExpo Uzbekistan is becoming the main platform for effective dialogue.
Almost 90 percent of the total volume of the furniture market in Uzbekistan is provided by domestic production. About 5,300 enterprises are operating in the country for the production of furniture, laminated particle boards, component materials and wood processing. The furniture industry employs over 300 thousand people.
The Director of the MebelExpo Uzbekistan Gullola Nodirkhonova noted that after a long break due to the pandemic, this event will become the first professional industry exhibition. More than 70 companies representing 12 countries will take part in it, including Uzbekistan, Austria, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Slovenia and Turkey.
“The furniture and woodworking industry in our country is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy, in which small and medium-sized businesses mainly operate”, says G. Nodirkhonova.
“The growth in the construction of new housing and real estate leads to an increase in the demand for furniture products. In addition, state support for representatives of the sphere, optimization of customs payments for equipment and materials used in the production of furniture, provision of tax benefits and preferences to manufacturers and small businesses expands their opportunities. At the exhibition, you can once again be convinced of the development of the furniture industry, a significant expansion of the types of products, improvement of quality and design following global trends.
The exhibition is organized by Iteca Exhibitions with the assistance of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
