This autumn, Tashkent will host an International Theater Festival again, combining well-known touring productions and vivid performances.

At the festival’s opening on October 4, the play “Einstein and Margarita”, directed by Alexander Marin, will be shown at the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater. Ksenia Rappoport and Alexei Serebryakov will present a story about love and the atomic bomb.

On October 7, Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theater will host a performance concert “Say That You Love Me” directed by Sergey Sotnikov with the participation of Darya Moroz, Evgeniy Tsyganov, as well as composer and conductor Peter Dranga.

On October 9, the audience will enjoy a performance by the Academic Russian Drama Theatre, “Son”, by Yuri Butusov, based on the play by Florian Zeller.

Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation reports that the festival program also includes performances by Tashkent theaters: “The Five Wives of Effendi”, “Listen to the Poet” (based on Abdulla Qodiri’s stories), and “Tricks of Maysara” (based on Hamza’s play).
