On June 24 this year, Tashkent will host the second meeting of Energy Ministers of the SCO Member States.
At the event, heads of ministries of energy of Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia and Tajikistan will discuss the state and prospects for interaction in this strategic direction of the organization. It is organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the organizational support of the Iteca Exhibitions.
The participants will discuss issues of strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, digitalization of the oil and gas industry in the transition to clean and sustainable energy and attracting investments.
Following the meeting, the approval of conceptual documents on the energy track of the SCO is expected, in particular, an action plan for the practical implementation of the Concept of cooperation between the member states of the organization in energy, as well as a draft program of cooperation in the use of renewable energy sources, initiated by the Uzbek side.
