The Congress of the Asian Weightlifting Federation (AWF), held in Tashkent, determined the host country of the 2024 Continental Championships.

According to the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan (NOC), the event will be held in Tashkent. The championships will give significant rating points for obtaining a license for the upcoming Paris 2024 Summer Olympics in the same year.

India, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan competed for the adoption of the 2024 Continental Championships. Following the vote, members of the AWF Executive Committee entrusted the conduction of the tournament to Uzbekistan.
