The Tashkent Regional phase of the “Navoiy inheritors” contest has taken place in the Dormon culture palace in Qibray District. An 8th grade pupil of general education school No 15 in Yuqori Chirchiq District, Nilufar Usmonaliyeva, won in it and obtained the right to participate in the republican phase of the contest.

An 8th grade pupil of general education school No 15 in Yuqori Chirchiq District, Nilufar Usmonaliyeva, won in it and obtained the right to participate in the republican phase of the contest.

The contest was arranged by the youth wing of the regional council of the Milliy Tiklanish democratic party in partnership with the regional public education directorate. This contest is significant in terms of the broad propagation of the life and creative work of great thinker Alisher Navoiy and the study of his rich literary heritage.

The contest was arranged as part of the implementation of a Presidential decree dated 12 January 2017 “On establishing a commission for the popularization of reading and the raising of book-reading culture and for the development of the system of publishing and distributing books”.

18 pupils participated in the regional phase of the contest.

“The heritage of great Alisher Navoiy teaches us, young people, to love the Motherland, to preserve our national values and to promote love and friendship,” says the winner of the regional phase of the contest, N.Usmonaliyeva.

A 9th grade pupil of general education school No 5 in Parkent District, Honzoda Abdusoatova, took second place, and a 9th grade pupil of general education school No 1 in Pskent District, Madina Tolipova, took third place.
