Tashkent region’s Deputy Hokim, Jamshid Babajanov, met with Reformatics representative, Otar Berdzenishvili, and discussed the National Strategy for the Development of Tourism in Uzbekistan until 2040.

Reformatics, with its international experience, is actively involved in this process and conducts research in several regions of Uzbekistan, including the Tashkent region.

Since 2017, the company has been conducting scientific-practical research in the economic development of Uzbekistan. Two interim reports have already been submitted, in which priority areas are identified: modernization of the tourism infrastructure, expansion of the participation of the private sector and investors, improvement of the quality of the hotel business and services, preservation and popularization of historical monuments and pilgrimage sites, as well as active representation of Tashkent region in the world.

Mr. Babajanov informed about the tourism potential of the region, historical monuments, eco- and gastronomic destinations, noting that agro- and medical tourism have been actively developing here in recent years.

An agreement was reached to strengthen cooperation in creating more favorable conditions for tourists, improving the quality of service, introducing digital tourism infrastructure, and developing new tourist routes.

Otar Berdzenishvili noted that Tashkent region is a strategically important region and has all the necessary opportunities for the formation of international tourism clusters.
