Tashkent hosts the 46th OCA General Assembly.

President of World Aquatics and the Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Husain Al-Musallam, welcomed representatives of sports organizations and delegates from the continent, noting that the organization of this historic meeting in Uzbekistan is of great importance.

President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), Witold Bańka, delivered a speech.

Congratulating the participants online, President of the International Olympic Committee, Kirsty Coventry, stressed that the event in Tashkent is important both for Asia and for the whole world, as it marks the beginning of a significant stage in the development of the Olympic movement. She noted that the constant dialogue and warm relations between the countries promote Olympic ideals, which symbolize peace and friendship.
