The center, established jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chinese company “Shuntong Agriculture Company” and Ipoteka Bank, is equipped with modern equipment and technologies for breeding fish.

Currently, the total area of Aquaculture Research Center is 2 hectares, of which 1.2 hectares falls on open water. 

Moreover, the center will conduct retraining and advanced training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, qualification practice of students, research work in “hydrobiology”, “ichthyology”, “fish farming”. The main tasks are the provision of specialized services and improvement of professional skills of fish farmers.

According to experts, within the framework of the educational program, implemented jointly with the Astrakhan State Technical University, practical and laboratory classes will be organized for students of the undergraduate course “Aquatic Bioresources and Aquaculture”.
