A branch of several Italian universities (Italian University Campus in Uzbekistan, IUC-UZ) to be opened in Tashkent.

A corresponding agreement was signed between the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan and the Interuniversity Research Center for Sustainable Development of Italy (CIRPS – Centro Interuniversitario di Ricerca Per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile).

It was noted that the IUC-UZ project involves not only the creation of a university, but will also include a research and technology park. The complex will be unique, uniting academic activities with the provision of consulting commercial services and interaction in innovation and industry.

The agreement assumes that the activities of IUC-UZ will cover more than 10 educational areas, in particular, engineering, business management, medicine, fashion and industrial design, architecture, restoration of historical buildings, agro-industry, pharmaceuticals, information and communication technologies, textile, silk and leather industry, hospitality and gastronomic art.
