The second day of the High-Level International Conference on “The Regional Cooperation among the Central Asian States on the Joint Plan of Action for the Implementation of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy” continues in Tashkent.

The event was organized based on the initiatives put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly.

According to the program of the event, the participants are discussing a report on the results of the 10-year implementation of the regional joint action plan within the framework of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, trends and prospects for cooperation in the fight against terrorism, as well as the approval of an updated joint action plan based on the recommendations of the Central Asian countries.

The event will provide an opportunity for practical exchange of experience on the implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asian states at the international platforms.

An international expert group is analyzing the process related to countering terrorism, their ideological, organizational, legal, psychological and technical features.
