On July 27, 2023, Tashkent hosted the next round of consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the event was attended by representatives of the consular services of foreign ministries and law enforcement agencies of the two countries.

Issues of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan cooperation on the consular line, including in the protection of the rights and interests of citizens, were discussed.

Proposals for the exchange of experience in the consular, legal, and law enforcement spheres and the implementation of joint projects and initiatives in this direction were considered.

A protocol regulating the implementation of the agreements was signed following the talks.
