Tashkent hosts Uzbekistan Sambo and Combat Sambo Championships among adults.

Deputy Minister of Sports Sh. Mahmudov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Sports of Uzbekistan B. Makhsitov, Uzbekistan Sambo Association leadership, and officials of relevant organizations attended the tournament opening.

400 athletes from different regions are taking part in the championship. On the first day of the competition, Marjona Tursunova from Navoi, Farogat Nurmamatova from Kashkadarya region and Mushtariy Jarkova from Andijan, as well as Ilkhom Parmonov, Sardor Olimjonov, Ozod Murotov, Hasan Rakhimov and Ziyod Hakimboyev rose to the highest step of the podium.

The championships will run until February 29.
