Tashkent hosts the International Conference “Uzbekistan and China: Advancing mutually beneficial cooperation for the peoples of both countries”.

The event’s initiators, Director of the International Institute for Central Asia Javlon Vakhabov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun, addressed the event.

The conference is dedicated to discussing the results of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China on January 23-25 and negotiations with the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.

The Joint Statement signed by the heads of state announced the establishment of an “all-weather, all-round strategic partnership in a new era”, which provides a solid foundation for raising bilateral relations to an unprecedented level.

During the sessions, experts from the two countries are expected to analyze in detail three essential themes included in the event program.
