An Uzbekistan – Austrian business forum was held in Tashkent as part of the visit of a delegation of the Austrian government and business circles to Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, about 100 entrepreneurs from both countries, representatives of chambers of commerce and industry and international financial institutions, as well as heads of ministries, agencies and industry associations of Uzbekistan took part in the event.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and the Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Michael Linhart addressed the event.

Significant prospects were noted for the implementation of joint projects in the energy, petrochemical industry, IT sector, agriculture, production of building materials and the banking and financial sector.

During B2B meetings, representatives of the business circles of the two countries discussed promising projects and identified interaction points to reach specific agreements.
