On March 30, Tashkent hosted the First Town Hall Meeting.
On March 30, Tashkent hosted the First Town Hall Meeting. The event on reformation of financial market and risks of dollarization of the economy was organized by the Capital Market Development Agency of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of banks, insurance and brokerage organizations, as well as other companies interested in development of capital market attended the event.
First Deputy Director of the Capital Market Development Agency Askar Obidov informed participants about agency’s activities and main tasks.
Issues of coordination of actions on reforms of financial eco-system and changes in legislation on securities regulation were discussed at the event.
Head of the Department of the Capital Market Analysis and Improvement of the Legislation Tursunboy Mahkamov spoke about risks of dollarization of the economy.
Participants discussed the main directions of reforms in the capital market, as well as factors hindering its development.
