On May 22-23 this year, several issues were discussed at the 41st meeting of the Central Asia Electric Power Coordination Council.
This event, organized by the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan JSC, was attended by electricity specialists from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. At the same time, responsible persons of the SUE National Dispatch Center under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Coordination Dispatch Center “Energy” took part in the event.
Chairman of the Board of JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the 41st meeting of the Central Asia Electric Power Coordination Council Dadajon Isakulov, Director General of the energy company Barqi Tojik Mahmadumar Asozoda, Deputy Chairman of Management Board of KEGOC Bakytkhan Zhazykbayev, Director General of National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan JSC Altynbek Rysbekov and others noted that strengthening cooperation in energy plays a vital role in the stability of energy supply.
At the meeting, specialists from Armenia and other CIS countries also delivered speeches via videoconference. Specialists from the Russian Federation took part as observers, presenting their opinions and recommendations on solving technical and engineering issues.
At the meeting, plans for the efficient use of water resources during the growing season of 2024, the prevention of energy shortages and significant accidents, prospects for cooperation, as well as measures to prepare for the autumn/winter period of 2024/2025, and ways to solve existing problems were analyzed and discussed in detail. At the same time, dispatchers and specialists exchanged views on compliance issues with the dispatch regime in power grids, advanced training of duty personnel and dispatchers, and exchange of experience. Issues of conducting training among specialists were discussed.
Following the event, it was emphasized that the turn to hold the next meeting has passed from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan and will be held in Almaty in October 2024.
