Tashkent hosted the first international festival STEAM Fest.

The first international festival of modern educational methods was held with the assistance of the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the Association of Non-State Education Institutions. Partners of the event were MIND Champ (Uzbekistan) and New Generation (Ukraine).

The main goal of the festival is to widely promote the humanities among young people, as well as to ensure the study of the experience of foreign countries in STEAM educational system (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).

The festival was held in two directions. With the help of STEAM, 3D technologies and robotics, foreign and local experts presented reports on such topics as formation of critical thinking skills of young people, the use of Internet resources in education.

The organizers conducted over 50 workshops for children in various STEAM areas. These events showed the children that gaining knowledge and striving for innovations could be interesting and meaningful in practice.
