This morning, a big sports festival has kicked off in Tashkent – the Traditional International Marathon “Navruz”, within which the International Tashkent SCO Half Marathon 2022 is held for the first time, organized under the auspices of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Thousands of Tashkent residents, guests of the capital, including those from the SCO states – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey and other states are taking part in the competition.

Among its participants are both professional and titled athletes and runners.

The first five winners of the marathon will receive cash prizes from 3 to 30 million UZS. Awards await winners at other distances as well.

According to the Organizing Committee, all marathon finishers who meet the time limit will receive the appropriate medal.
