On December 4, Tashkent hosted International Sericulture Investment Forum.

It was noted that ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan create huge opportunities for expanding the production of relevant raw materials, increasing the production of export-oriented silk products through its processing and providing employment in the regions, especially for young people.

Projects in the industry are designed to identify and eliminate main obstacles to the development of silk industry.

The participants of the forum exchanged views on prospects and strategies for sustainable development of the industry, production in accordance with international standards and new trends in the textile industry.
