The National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek hosted an International Scientific-Practical Conference on “The Germans of Uzbekistan: contribution to the economy, science and culture”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Wiedergeburt German Cultural Center of Uzbekistan.

The event was organized by the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries, Wiedergeburt German Cultural Center of Uzbekistan and the Center of Interethnic Harmony and Tolerance in Uzbekistan at the National University of Uzbekistan.

The conference was attended by prominent scientists of Uzbekistan, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan and media representatives.

The event is aimed at consolidating the scientific-practical community in the study of various aspects of the history of the German diaspora in Uzbekistan, the contribution of its prominent representatives to the development of the economy, science and culture of the country, as well as the activities of Wiedergeburt.
