Tashkent hosts International Mathematical Olympiad
Tashkent hosted the closing ceremony of the International Mathematical Olympiad and the awarding ceremony of its winners.
This Olympiad, held among schoolchildren aged 14-15, was attended by over 120 participants from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan.
The participants competed in two rounds. Each question was rated at 10 points. The maximum possible score was 80 points.
Fifty-five winners of the International Olympiad were awarded medals. Ten received gold, 19 silver, and 26 bronze medals.
Six schoolchildren from Uzbekistan who showed the best results at the Olympiad will be part of the national team that will participate in the 28th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad among teenagers, which will be held in Antalya from June 25 to 30 this year.
