Tashkent hosted the closing ceremony of the XIV Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road”.

Guests of the festival, stars and fans of cinema, scientists and film critics were invited to the event.

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov noted that the Tashkent International Film Festival will go down in history as a significant forum – this was recognized by representatives of the world cinema.

The agenda of the film festival was very interesting and included lots of enjoyable events. Thanks to the forum, filmmakers from almost forty countries got acquainted with Uzbekistan and its daily life.

Several agreements of mutual interest were also signed between cinematographers of Uzbekistan and foreign film corporations.

The winners of the international competition “Cinema in 5 days” were awarded within the framework of the closing ceremony. Temur Murodov’s “Cassette” became the winner of the festival.
