Consultations of representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the SCO member states on legal issues were held at the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure in Tashkent on March 9-10.
The meeting was chaired by the Uzbek side. The participants discussed issues of improving the legal framework, amendments and additions to the fundamental documents of the organization, as well as considered draft documents regulating interaction with the SCO observer states.
It should be noted that one of the priorities of the current chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the SCO is the promotion within the framework of the organization of the process of discussing the issues of institutional and legal development of this structure in the light of its progressive evolution. In particular, the network of SCO partner organizations is expanding, and the interest of third countries in establishing relations with this multilateral institution is growing.
The meeting was held in a traditionally friendly atmosphere.
