Tashkent hosts CIS International Expert Forum on International Security

CIS International Expert Forum on International Security kicks off in Tashkent.

The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications and the CIS Executive Committee.

It is attended by more than 50 leading experts from the CIS countries, representatives of international organizations and leading analytical centers of the CIS countries, heads of relevant ministries and agencies, via videoconference.

It should be noted that the initiative of holding this Forum belongs to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was announced at the summits of the heads of state of the Commonwealth in 2019 and 2020.

Following the event, it is planned to adopt the Final Document of the CIS International Expert Forum on Information Security, which contains practical recommendations for improving the legal framework and institutional mechanisms for cooperation in the information security within the Commonwealth.
