Tashkent hosts an international conference on “Improving the draft Strategy for the Development of the State Public Service 2030 – Using the EU’s Best Practices”.
The two-day conference was organized by the Agency for the Development of the Public Service under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

After the opening ceremony of the event, with the participation of heads and officials of partner organizations, representatives of the diplomatic corps and scientific institutions, and employees of ministries and agencies, sessions on several themes were organized. In particular, issues of strategic planning of a modern and effective state public service, correct and transparent distribution of institutional tasks and human resources, and management of the effectiveness of institutional structures are discussed.

In addition, the participants will consider issues such as increasing the attractiveness of the state public service, adopting an uncompromising attitude to corruption, establishing a system of remuneration and incentives, and attracting a professional, talented workforce to the public sector.
