The International Conference “Advanced Materials and Energy Storage Systems” has kicked off in Tashkent, covering one of the most relevant areas of modern science and technological development – energy storage and advanced materials.
The conference is being held at the Institute of Ion Plasma and Laser Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
Director of the Institute H. Ashurov and Head of the Department of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Academy of Sciences, Academician S. Bakhramov emphasized the role of the conference in developing Uzbekistan’s science and strengthening international scientific ties.
More than 20 leading scientists, engineers, and specialists from countries such as Korea, China, Japan, Türkiye, and Pakistan are participating in the event. Specialists from the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology, Biysk Technological Institute, Jilin University, Karadeniz Technical University, and University of Lahore are among them.
The new anode and cathode materials for lithium-ion, potassium-ion, and aluminum-ion batteries, carbon-based structures, research in the nanostructures, as well as advanced approaches in the calculation and modeling of materials were discussed at the conference. Scientists presented the research results.
A Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Institute of Ion Plasma and Laser Technologies, the Graduate School of Materials Science and Engineering, and the International Joint Research Center (IJRC) of Hebei University of Technology. The document will become the basis for future joint research, scientific exchange, and technology transfer.
The participants became familiar with the Institute’s laboratories, advanced analytical equipment and technological processes.
The conference, which will run until May 25, is an essential event for the development of materials science and energy storage in Uzbekistan and for strengthening the country’s position in the international scientific community.
