Tashkent hosted an international roundtable discussion on “Uzbekistan and the SCO: Cooperation for Sustainable Development”.

The event was organized by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, International Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism and the SCO Public Diplomacy Center in Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by parliament deputies, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Chinese SCO Committee on Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation, diplomatic missions of the SCO member states accredited in the country, scientific and expert circles and the media.

The participants discussed issues of coordination of efforts in various directions, such as inter-parliamentary ties, regional and interethnic relations, activities of youth organizations, cultural diplomacy, education and others.
