On July 12, an International Conference on “Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan: Prospects for development at a new historical stage of interaction” kicked off at the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA).

The event is organized by IICA together with the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The conference is being attended by heads and leading experts of state and analytical structures of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

The experts will discuss the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, the possibilities for further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, and issues of interaction within the framework of consultative meetings of the leaders of Central Asian countries.
