Tashkent hosts an international conference on the System of National Accounts

From 10 to 12 December 2025, an international conference dedicated to the System of National Accounts (SNA) is taking place in Tashkent. The event is organized in cooperation with the Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of experts from national statistical offices across the CIS region.

The conference brings together representatives from the statistical agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as specialists from the CIS Executive Committee. The agenda includes presentations on the current state of the SNA, methodological improvements, preparations for the introduction of SNA 2025, purchasing power parity (PPP) calculations, and GDP disaggregation. Participants are also discussing subnational indicators, structural statistics, assessment of the informal economy, and the integration of international statistical standards.

Both national and international experts are delivering reports in online and offline formats. Representatives of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan are presenting information on preparations for the transition to SNA 2025, the development of analytical infrastructure, and the introduction of digital technologies into statistical processes.

The conference aims to strengthen statistical cooperation among CIS member states and support the modernization of national accounts systems in line with global standards.
