Tashkent hosts an exhibition of scientific developments and innovative projects in tourism and cultural heritage.

According to the Ministry of Innovative Development, the opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, industry experts, authors of innovative projects from 9 higher education institutions and 4 research centers, as well as about 20 business entities with more than 20 innovative projects and scientific developments in tourism and cultural heritage.

The exhibition is aimed at commercializing the results of scientific activities of higher education and research institutions, supporting innovatively active business entities, attracting representatives of the private sector to innovative activities, digitalizing the process of providing services through the implementation of new innovative projects and the creation of amenities for citizens.

The tourism industry is one of the industries most affected by the pandemic. For this reason, projects aimed at digitalizing tourist services and creating new types of services are being implemented all over the world. In particular, since the beginning of the pandemic in the tourism sector, 13 projects worth 14.3 billion UZS in the tourism sector and 24 projects worth 26 billion UZS in the cultural heritage have been implemented in Uzbekistan.
