Tashkent hosts a workshop on rulemaking activity
The Institute of Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies under the Oliy Majlis and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy are holding an international workshop on “Improving rulemaking activity: a comparative analysis of foreign experience”, in Tashkent.
The Institute of Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies under the Oliy Majlis and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy are holding an international workshop on “Improving rulemaking activity: a comparative analysis of foreign experience”, in Tashkent.
Rulemaking experience of the United Kingdom, Poland and Indonesia is studied at the workshop with participation of senators and deputies, employees of the Institute of Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies, international experts and specialists.
At the workshop, issues such as ensuring participation of public and representatives of civil society institutions in examination and development of draft laws, mechanisms for adopting laws of direct action, reducing bylaws, especially departmental, and organizing parliamentary control over their implementation are being discussed.
The workshop will continue on December 12.
