Tashkent hosts a meeting with a writer from Tatarstan

The Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a creative meeting of members and activists of the Tatar Public Cultural and Enlightenment Center of the city of Tashkent with a famous writer, Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after Gabdulla Tukay, Rkail Rafailovich Zaydullin (Rkail Zaydulla).

Rkail Zaydulla is the author of 13 books of poetry, poems, short stories, historical novels, plays, children’s prose and journalism. His works have been translated and published in various editions in English, Russian, Turkish, Uzbek, Chuvash, Bashkir, and Chechen. He translated many works from other languages into Tatar, including the play “Life Is a Dream” by the Spanish playwright Pedro Calderón de la Barca, some poetic works by Alisher Navoi and other poets.

At the meeting, the writer informed about his works, especially the works of recent years.
