Tashkent hosted a meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, which took place on 25-28 January 2022, the preparations for the next meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States in Uzbekistan were discussed.

Issues related to the preparation for holding meetings of the SCO bodies in Uzbekistan, provided for by the Plan of main events under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the SCO in 2022, were also considered.

The approved Plan of the main SCO events for 2022 includes more than 130 ministerial and expert meetings, conferences, forums, workshops and symposiums.

Views were also exchanged on the documents that are planned to be submitted for signing or approval at the Council of Heads of SCO Member States.

During their stay in Uzbekistan, the national coordinators of the SCO member states visited the IT Park in Tashkent, created on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, got acquainted with the ongoing large-scale reforms in the IT sector.

During the visit to Tashkent region, the delegations were shown large-scale transformations in the region, in particular, the practical implementation of state programs for the development of the tourism industry.
