Tashkent hosts an international conference on “Uzbekistan and Russia – searching for new vectors of mutually beneficial partnership”, organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS) in partnership with the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO RAS).
The event is attended by representatives of leading analytical and research centers of the two countries, during which participants will exchange views on the current state and prospects for the development of relations in various fields.

It is worth noting that experts pay special attention to the results of the visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan, which, by all accounts, showed the scale and depth of relations between Uzbekistan and Russia and confirmed their long-term nature.

The conference is expected to announce the launch of the Uzbekistan – Russia Expert Council headed by the ISRS and IMEMO RAS. Its main goal will be to create an effective platform where the expert community of the two countries can constructively discuss new ideas and develop proposals for further enhancing the comprehensive interaction between Uzbekistan and Russia.
