Tashkent hosted Uzbekistan – American Business Forum
It was attended by heads of relevant ministries of the country, companies in the areas of trade, finance, agriculture, mechanical engineering, education, healthcare, representatives of business circles, as well as officials of 13 major US companies.
The first certified American trade mission arrived in Uzbekistan on June 18. The visit is organized within the framework of implementation of agreements reached during the negotiations of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross in October 2018, in Tashkent.
During the visit of the delegation, Uzbekistan – American business forum was held. It was attended by heads of relevant ministries of the country, companies in the areas of trade, finance, agriculture, mechanical engineering, education, healthcare, representatives of business circles, as well as officials of 13 major US companies.
Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S.Umurzakov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry A.Ikramov and others noted that mutual cooperation is multifaceted, favorable business environment formed in the country is of great interest to American investors.
At the event, the investment potential of the country, prospects for bilateral cooperation, issues of supporting mutual trade, financing new projects were discussed.
Views were exchanged on promising projects aimed at strengthening trade-economic, investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.
The forum will continue in the form of meetings and dialogues devoted to such areas as agriculture, transport, social services, education, and energy.
