The International Chess Tournament timed to Georgy Agzamov’s memory was held on May 3-11, at the International Chess Academy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The prize fund of the tournament amounted to $25 thousand. The first place went to the Serbian grandmaster Aleksandar Indjic. The second and third places went to Javokhir Sindarov (Uzbekistan) and Evgeny Romanov (Norway).

Shamsiddin Vohidov, Mukhriddin Madaminov and Abdumalik Abdusalimov became unsurpassed in competitions among young men under 20 years old.

Vyacheslav Azamov and Obidjon Yusupov won the tournament among veterans.

The first place among women went to the world champion Umida Omonova (Uzbekistan), the next place went to Aliya Nurmanova and Bibisora Assaibayeva from Kazakhstan.

Uzbekistan’s Sitora Saparova won the competition among girls under 20 years old.
