On August 19, within the framework of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Tashkent will host the 17th Meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Organization's Member States.

The meeting will be attended by the secretaries of the Security Councils of the Member States and observer states, as well as representatives of the Secretariat and the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure.

The participants will consider issues of ensuring international and regional security, including countering terrorism, extremism, illegal trafficking of weapons and drugs, as well as ensuring information security.

The event will also include bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of partner countries.
