A record amount of sumalak (7 tons) is being cooked at the Central Park named after Mirzo Ulugbek, in Tashkent.

A record amount of sumalak (7 tons) is being cooked at the Central Park named after Mirzo Ulugbek, in Tashkent.

1,25 tons of wheat and 4 tons of flour are used for cooking the sumalak. It is cooked by 80 chefs.

Sumalak is prepared for charitable purposes. Today it will be distributed among Mehribonlik (kindness) and Mercy Houses, as well as residents and guests of the capital.

The event is organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan, Tashkent city khokimiyat and Coca Cola Uzbekistan Company.
