Tashkent celebrates the Tatar cuisine holiday

The Krokus Plaza hotel hosted an event on the occasion of the World Day of Tatar Cuisine.

This date is celebrated on February 28 – the birthday of the famous culinary specialist, founder of the first restaurant of Tatar national cuisine, Yunus Akhmetzyanov.

His uniqueness lies in the fact that he collected traditional recipes from all the villages of Tatarstan, published 17 books. “Tatar cuisine is one of the richest in its diversity”, said the master.

Tatar dishes prepared by the hostesses of the Tatar Cultural Center: kosh tele, chak-chak, echpochmak, paramach, gubadia, and many others were presented at the event.

A noodle-cutting competition, a quiz on the knowledge of Tatar dishes, as well as a masterclass on cooking kystyby based on the recipe of Yunus Akhmetzyanov were held among the participants.
