The festive event “Happy Spring Festival 2026”, jointly organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, took place at the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theater.

The Ambassador of China to Uzbekistan, Yu Jun, government members, public representatives, members of the Chinese diaspora, students, and employees of Chinese companies, more than 700 people in total, attended the event.

In their speeches, Ambassador Yu Jun and First Deputy Minister of Culture Avaz Tajikhanov congratulated the peoples of China and Uzbekistan on the New Year, highly appreciated the development of bilateral relations and humanitarian cooperation. They expressed hope that the joint celebration of the Spring Festival will strengthen friendship between the peoples and contribute to the development of cooperation in all spheres.

The concert program featured artists from Fujian province and Uzbekistan’s “Bahor” dance ensemble. The performance combined various artistic forms, including elements of intangible cultural heritage, vividly demonstrating the mutual enrichment of Chinese and Uzbek cultures.
