Six out of seven aboveground stations were erected on the ring line of the capital metro under construction at Dustlik – Quyliq section. After completion of construction and launch of the first trains, the new line will become one of the most important transport arteries in Tashkent.

According to Uzbekistan Railways, the construction of a new metro ring line is being carried out in accordance with the project implementation schedule and with all construction standards and technical requirements. The project was developed by the experts of Boshtransloyiha JSC and is carried out by specialists of enterprises and units of Kuprikqurilish Trust.

Last August, construction work was completed at Dustlik-2 and Okhangaron stations on Dustlik – Quyliq section of Tashkent Metro line, where the first rail sleepers were laid, and the first trains started moving in test mode without passengers.

According to the Deputy Head of the Capital Construction Department of Uzbekistan Railways Aziz Abdiyev, the distance from Dustlik-2 station to the Quyliq market is 11 kilometers. Seven stations will be built on this site according to the project. Completely new technologies for Uzbekistan are used for construction of the underground metro line unique for the Central Asian region.

Each station is built in a unique style and decorated in accordance with national architectural traditions. Various building materials used here and special design techniques give a peculiar beauty to each station.

The most modern Russian trains will run along the new line for the convenience of passengers. They have already arrived in Tashkent at the end of September last year.
